KARACHI, Sept 13: A 373-member Sindh contingent will compete in the 29th National Games scheduled to be held at various venues of Quetta from Sept 30 to Oct 5.

The contingent was approved at the Annual General Meeting of Sindh Olympic Association held on Sunday according to which Sindh athletes will figure in 21 male and 12 female events.

Sindh contingent will comprise 261 males including officials and 112 females. Male athlete will take part in athletics, badminton, body building, boxing, cycling, football, gymnastics, judo, karate, shooting, rowing, sailing, squash, swimming, table tennis, tennis, taekwondo, tug of war, wushu, weight lifting and wrestling while women will feature in athletics, badminton, cycling, hockey, karate, swimming, shooting, table tennis, taekwondo, squash and Wushu, he said.

During the AGM besides amendments in the SOA constitution, baseball and soft ball, net ball, badminton, tug of war, canoeing and wushu were granted the membership of SOA. All the units have been advised to submit their teams after holding open trials by Sept 20. -APP
