MULTAN, Oct 27: Glowing tributes were paid to the late Hakeem Muhammad Said at a seminar organized by the Pakistan Association for Eastern Medicines (PAEM) here on Saturday.

Hamdard Foundation President and Hakeem Said’s daughter Sadia Rashid presided over the seminar on ‘eastern medicines and their promotion’.

District Nazim Shah Mahmood Qureshi, who was the chief guest, euologized Hakeem Said’s services for Pakistan.

He said that the allopathic method of treatment was beyond the reach of the 34 per cent population of the country, which was living below the poverty line.

He said alternative cure methods and facilities should be promoted in the country through legislation. He said that his district government would pay attention for the establishment of tibbi dispensaries in Multan.

PAEM patron Sadia Rashid urged the federal health ministry to take initiative to evolve strategy for the promotion of alternative cure methods. She demanded that tibbi faculties should be established at all universities of the country. She assured all out support to the government by the Hamdard Foundation in this regard.
