GUJRANWALA, Oct 27: A sub-inspector was booked on the charge of killing an under-custody accused besides raping an abuducted girl here on Saturday.

Three outlaws — Sanaullah, Ataullah and Tanvir — abducted ‘F’ of Khokherki, Satellite Town, a few days ago and took her to Lahore, Karachi and Gujranwala where they raped her. She somehow escaped from their clutches and reached her house from where she was again abducted by Sanaullah.

On a tip-off, SI Abdul Razzaq caught Sanaullah and the abducted girl and brought them to the police station. The SI allegedly tortured to death Sanaullah and raped the girl. Later, the victim was released.

Seeman Bibi, the mother of victim, moved the Lahore High Court when police turned down her plea to register a case against the SI and other outlaws involved in abducting and raping her daughter.

On the directive of the LHC, Satellite Town police have registered a case against the SI and other outlaws.

Meanwhile, a local judge awarded two days imprisonment to constable Asghar of Tetley police on the charge of violating court orders. He has been sent to jail.

PUTRID MEAT: Five butchers were booked and a huge quantity of putrid meat was seized on Saturday by raiding teams of tehsil councils in Kamoke and Wazirabad.

Residents of these towns had lodged complaints with veterinary doctors of tehsil councils that butchers were providing them meat of sick and dead animals. The raiding teams conducted raids on various shops and recovered 200 kg putrid meat.

A case has been registered against the butchers.
