RAWALPINDI, Sept 10: Lahore High Court, Rawalpindi bench, on Friday directed the ISI director-general and interior secretary to submit para-wise comments in a case related to the arrest of a prayer leader and his assistant from a mosque located in Chor Harpaal.

Justice Tanveer Bashir Ansari directed the two officials to submit their comments till September 27. The court took the move after the Rawalpindi police informed the court that they had not arrested prayer leader, Qari Mohammad Qasim and his assistant, Naqdi Khan, from a mosque located in Chor Harpal, an area which comes under the jurisdiction of Westridge police station.

Former Vice-President of the Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, Hafiz Hussain Malik had moved a habeas corpus writ petition in the court through Taufeeq Asif advocate, wherein he had alleged that law-enforcement agencies had arrested Qari Mohammad Aslam and Naqdi Khan from the mosque few days back on his alleged links with Al Qaeda.
