FAISALABAD, Sept 8: The Faisalabad Foundry and Engineering Industries Group has threatened that it would launch a protest drive if the Water and Sanitation Agency (Wasa) failed to stop different units from discharging effluents in the drain and on Samundri Road.

In a statement here on Wednesday, the group chief said various processing units in the area were discharging chemically polluted water in the drain and on service road due to which the recently constructed stripe had been damaged. It said Wasa had been approached a number of times to take action against factory owners but no attention had so far been paid.
