QUETTA, Sept 6: Provincial Home Minister Mir Mohammad Shoaib Nausherwani unconditionally withdrew his resignation after meeting Chief Minister Jam Yousaf on Monday.

Speaking at a press conference at his residence, the minister said: "I have withdrawn my resignation."

The home minister said he had resigned on Friday after differences with the chief minister over some party matters, but at night, senior provincial PML leaders came to his residence and held negotiations on the disputed points.

Mr Nausherwani said Chief Minister Jam Mir Mohammad Yousuf also visited him and held talks on his reservations regarding party affairs and appointment of the district chairman Zakat in his constituency.

The minister said the chief minister and other senior leaders assured him he would be consulted on important issues in future. Announcing the withdrawal, he reposed full confidence in the leadership of Chief Minister Jam Yousuf.

In replying to a question, he said it was not possible for him to refuse the request of Jam Yousuf and other senior party leaders who came to his residence. "I honour Baloch traditions."
