NEW DELHI, Sept 6: Nepalese Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba will arrive in New Delhi on Wednesday for talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh aimed at chalking out a joint strategy to tackle the Maoist insurgency in the Himalayan kingdom.

Mr Deuba will spend five days meeting other Indian leaders, including President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Foreign Minister Kunwar Natwar Singh, Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee and the Leader of the Opposition.

He is also expected to meet the chairperson of the ruling United Progressive Alliance, Sonia Gandhi. "The visit would provide an opportunity to comprehensively review, at the highest level, the entire gamut of India- Nepal bilateral relations, including defence, security and border management," an Indian foreign ministry statement said.
