ISLAMABAD, Aug 30: The monthly "First Wednesday Web Chat" of the US embassy will be held on September 1. According to a statement issued here on Monday, this will be the second web chat session between the public and the US embassy officials on visa-related issues.

The statement said owing to the overwhelming interest in the topic, the US embassy had decided once again to keep the focus of the September 1 web chat confined to visa-related issues only.

Consular officials will be available online to answer all the questions related to the issuance of US visa, it added. The statement said participation in the web chat was easy and simple as all those, who would like to participate in this online chat session, could do so by logging on to the web page: http://chat.Islamabad.usembassy.gov between 4pm and 5pm.

This format of interaction with the audience in Pakistan was successfully introduced last month when more than 300 people asked questions about US visa policies and procedures online.

The US embassy in Islamabad plans to hold similar web chats on other topics of interest or concern such as trade-related issues, economy, science, education, etc., on the first Wednesday of every month.
