KARACHI, Aug 24: The IGP Sindh held a high-level meeting here on Tuesday to review the progress so far achieved in various high profile criminal cases.

DIG Operations Karachi Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari informed the meeting that special teams, comprising Investigation and operation branch, are in constant contact with the CID police and the special branch for the arrest of the accused involved in the murder of Mufti Nizamuddin Shamzai, roadside blast near the vehicles of Jamia Rasheeda Trust in Gadap, and blasts in the restaurant near Jamia Binoria in SITE town.

The IGP also reviewed the steps taken for maintenance of law and order in Sindh, with particular reference to Karachi, and directed the CCPO Karachi to take all possible steps to protect the life and property of the people.

Meanwhile, the IGP also reviewed the head way achieved so far in the arrest of accused involved in a dacoity at Electronics Market in Saddar. The DIG Operations informed that in the light of statements of various witnesses and evidence, the accused involved would soon be arrested.

CCPO Tariq Jamil, DIG Operation Karachi Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari, DIG Investigation Zone I and II, and other high police officials attended the meeting. -APP
