First day golds at stake

ATHENS, Aug 13: The first full day of competition at the Athens Olympics on Saturday will feature 13 gold medals including four in the pool at the Olympic Aquatic Centre.

Expected medal running order (all times GMT and estimates, except for swimming):

08:40 - Women's 10-metre air rifle, shooting

12:25 - Men's 10-metre air pistol, shooting

15:00 - Men's 60kg and women's 48kg, judo

15:40 - Men's road race, cycling

16:37 - Men's 400 metres individual medley, swimming

16:57 - Men's 400 metres freestyle, swimming

17:00 - Men's individual sabre, fencing

17:16 - Women's 400 metres individual medley, swimming

17:54 - Women's 4x100 metre freestyle, swimming

18:40 - Women's 48kg, weightlifting

18:45 - Women's synchronised three-metre springboard, diving

20:00 - Men's synchronised 10-metre platform, diving.
