KARACHI, July 29: The Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) has warned 10 various private educational institutions in Karachi against offering courses franchised from Aptech, which are not approved from any accrediting body in Pakistan

The board has directed them to regularize all TEVT courses from the Sindh Board of Technical Education and affiliate the institute with the SBTE within one month, otherwise face action.

The institutes include: N.H. Computer Training (Pvt), Aan Services (Pvt) Ltd, Excellent IT Services, LSI Asia (Pvt) Limited, Columbia Information Technologies, Haidry IT Services (Pvt) Ltd, Arena Multimedia (F.B. Area), Arena Multimedia (North Nazimabad), Arena Multimedia (Sharea Faisal) and Chester Computer Education.

The board informed that vide the government of Sindh ordinance No XVI of 1970, section 12, clauses 1 and 2 (1 to XXI), the Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) was the only authorized institute to organize, regulate, develop and control technical, vocational and commercial education below degree level in the Sindh province.

Further, all diploma level courses offered by the SBTE were standardized for throughout Pakistan, and were approved by the National Review Committee and Curriculum Wing, Ministry of Education, Islamabad. - APP
