KARACHI, July 28: The chief secretary, Muhammad Aslam Sanjrani, has said that respect for the law is the responsibility of every citizen, no matter how influential and rich he or she is.
Government employees, he said, should fear Allah and perform their responsibilities as per rules and regulations, and should not devour the rights of others just to appease any person.
He made these remarks while chairing a meeting on issues relating to the Association of Builders and Developers. The ABAD office bearers apprised the meeting about their problems, and said that some progress had been achieved for resolving the same during the tenure of former chief minister.
The chief secretary sought the opinion of Additional Chief Secretary Local Government Muhammad Saleem Khan, DCO Karachi Mir Hussain Ali, member Board of Revenue and chief controller KBCA Brig A.S. Nasir.
Keeping the opinion of ABAD in view, it was decided that the the association would propose the line of action in the light of previous meetings, and get the issue of NOC resolved with the KBCA within 10 days. Another meeting would be convened in the next 15 days in this regard.
It was decided that the chief minister would be given a briefing in the light of the one given to the former chief minister and his directive would be sought for achieving further headway in the matter. - APP
