KARACHI, July 25: The 10-bed hospital set up at Jehangir Road No. 2 with free treatment and medicines facilities was inaugurated by Sindh Minister for Information Technology Syed Mustafa Kamal on Sunday.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that with the opening of the hospital, named Khalid Shaheed General Hospital, people residing in Jehangir Road locality and its adjoining areas would start benefiting from exceptional health care facilities.

The hospital, having both male and female doctors, has a number of wards, including gynaecology, paediatric, dental and tuberculosis, besides having vaccination facility, he said.

Mr Kamal said that as per the standing directives of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief, Altaf Hussain, that people be served without any discrimination, the MQM was doing its best to help resolve the problems being faced by oppressed people on a priority basis. The inauguration ceremony was largely attended by doctors, women health workers and MQM workers.
