Condolences offered to Turkey

ISLAMABAD, July 23: President Pervez Musharraf has condoled with the Turkish government and the families who lost their loved ones in a tragic train accident on Thursday.

In a message of condolence sent to Ahmet Necdet Sezer, President of Turkey, on the tragic train accident in Turkey, President Musharraf said, "Our hearts go out in sympathy for the bereaved families."

The president said, "I was deeply shocked and saddened to learn about the most tragic train accident that resulted in the loss of many innocent lives of the fraternal people of Turkey.

"Please accept, Excellency, heartfelt condolences on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan and on my own behalf over this most unfortunate disaster," the president said.

SHUJAAT: Prime Minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has expressed grief over the tragic train accident in Turkey. In a message of condolence sent to the Prime Minister of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Chaudhry Shujaat said, "I would like to convey heartfelt sympathies and condolences on my own behalf and on behalf of the people and government of Pakistan to the government and the fraternal people of Turkey."-APP
