SARGODHA, May 22: The wheat procurement target has been enhanced to 100,000 tons in the district to relieve growers of financial worries.

This was stated by Sargodha district Nazim Malik Amjad Ali Noon at a meeting here on Wednesday.

He said army and representatives of district and tehsil governments would monitor provision of gunny bags to growers and the procedure of sale. These representatives would send their reports to DCO, he added.

The Nazim nominated his representatives who would monitor the procurement procedure at several centres. Those nominated were Advocate Muhammad Nawaz Bhatti (Asianwala), Khan Muhammad Ishfaq Khan (Sillanwali Road), Sayyid Mahmood Bakhsh Gillani (Railway Godown), Allah Ditta Noon (Sillanwali) and Muhammad Aslam (Bhalwal).
