KARACHI, July 20: A small number of candidates have applied for taking the Information Technology (IT) examinations 2004, to be held on July 31.

Sources in the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, said about 350, out of over 60,000 regular candidates of part-II general and science groups, had applied for the IT (optional) paper.

The number of candidates, who appeared in the IT exams last year, was about 3,500. The theory paper of IT would be held on July 31 from 9am to 12 noon, while related practical exams would be held on Aug 2.

The exams would be held at two centres, S.M. Government Science College (for males) and Sir Syed Government Girls College (for females). The BIE has advised concerned students to collect their admit cards on or after July 24 from respective colleges. Details of practical exams would be made available to candidates at their respective centres on the day of the IT theory exam, said a BIE notification.
