ISLAMABAD, July 18: The Senate Standing Committee on Sports, probing affairs of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and reasons for the series defeat to India, is to meet on Monday.

Senator Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry, the chairman of the committee, dismissed rumours that the meeting had been postponed. "There is no postponement or delay," he told Dawn on Sunday.

Chairman of the PCB, Shaharyar M. Khan, chief executive Ramiz Raja and chief selector Wasim Bari have again been summoned by the committee. Former coach Javed Miandad and Sarfraz Nawaz have also been asked to attend the meeting.

The first meeting was held on May 29 in which Shaharyar Khan, Ramiz Raja and Wasim Bari were questioned by the senators on a host of cricketing matters.
