Camp for Olympics from Friday

KARACHI, July 14: The final phase of Pakistan hockey team training camp will commence at Hockey Club of Pakistan Stadium (HCP) from Friday for which 18 players have been invited by Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF).

All the players will be reporting at team's hotel on Thursday and first physical session and training will start from Friday. Pakistan squad will be flying to Barcelona on its way to Alcala Real (Spain) to feature in a three-nation contest starting from July 29 also involving Argentina and hosts.

After the tri-nation Pakistan coach Roelant Oltmans will finalize the 16-member squad which will feature in the Athens Olympic which opens at Greek capital from Aug 13.

Ahmed Alam, Salman Akber (Goalkeepers); Sohail Abbas, Ghazanfar Ali, Ali Raza, Mudassar Ali Khan (full-backs) Waseem Ahmed, Adnan Maqsood, Ghazanfar Ali, Dilawar Hussain, Zeeshan Ashraf (half-backs) Muhammad Nadeem, Muhammad Sarwar, Muhammad Shabbir, Rehan Butt, Shakeel Abbasi, Tariq Aziz, Kashif Jawwad (forwards). -APP
