KOZHIKODE, July 9: Former Sri Lanka captain Arjuna Ranatunga thinks his country's cricket board is "corrupt and doesn't handle funds properly." He accused Sri Lankan board of mismanaging funds adding the board, which had funds to the tune of Rs 1.2 billion, was now running an overdraft of Rs 15 million.

Ranatunga, now his country's deputy minister for tourism rated India and Australia as two best ODI sides in the world. Sourav Ganguly's team can win 2007 World Cricket Cup.

"If India continue to be consistent, they can certainly win next World Cup," Ranatunga said. On present Sri Lankan team, he said it was talented but lacked commitment unlike the 1996 lot. -PPI
