A laughing stock

LAHORE, June 29: Parliamentary Health Secretary Dr Farzana Nazir again became a laughing stock in the house on Tuesday immediately after taking the floor to participate in the discussion on supplementary budget.

She warned the opposition that they should not 'tease' her, otherwise, she would speak too much against them. Referring to misdeeds of the PPP government, she said a stable had been developed for Asif Zardari in the prime minister's house.

Saying she had so many praises for the provincial budget that the opposition members would get tired and pens of reporters would dry out but her words would not end. However, she said, she wanted to take the members to the issue of Chaudhry Shujaat Husain. "Miss-point-of-order, as someone from the opposition benches called her for cutting speech on every issue," said Shujaat had got a big brain.
