FAISALABAD, June 28: Residents of Millat Road and Narwala Road blocked traffic and staged a sit-in outside the offices of district Nazim against the imposition of toll tax on the roads on Monday.

The protesters marched on different roads. They were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the district government. They demanded immediate withdrawal of toll tax from Millat Road and Narwala Road claiming that it was illegal as the tax had been withdrawn from other roads of the district.

They staged a sit-in outside the district Nazim's offices as a result of which Kutchery Road was blocked.

ROOF COLLAPSE: Two brothers were killed while four of their family members sustained serious injuries when roof of their house collapsed in Chak 115 JB here on Sunday night.

Ashiq Ali and Tahir Ali were plastering the roof of their house when it caved in. Wives of both the brothers and their two children who were sitting under the roof also sustained injuries. They were taken to the Allied Hospital where Tahir and Ashiq succumbed to their injuries.
