HARIPUR, June 23: The Director-General of Khana-i-furhang, Peshawar, Mr Raees-us-Sadaat, has said that Iran and Pakistan have been enjoying cordial relations for decades and efforts are being made to strengthen these relations.

This he said while speaking to participants of a reception hosted in his honour by ANP's district president Fiaz Hussain at his residence here on Wednesday. Counselor-General of Iran Muhammad Hasan Aimani was also present on this occasion.

Speaking about state-to-state and people to people relationship between both Muslim countries, Mr Sadaat said that the relationship between Iran and Pakistan were not of ordinary type rather they had traces back in centuries as the people of this particular region had similar cultural, religious and social values.

Fiaz Hussain, president of the ANP district chapter, thanked the guest and expressed the hope that both countries would play their individual roles in furthering the cause and spirit of Islam besides strengthening their old brotherly relations and embark on a plan aimed at seeking cooperation in every sphere of life and face challenges both countries would be confronting in the time to come.
