Action body to meet

Published June 22, 2004

LAHORE, June 21: With the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) not paying attention to their demands, the city cricket associations' action committee has summoned a meeting next Saturday.

According to the committee chief, Aamir Hayat Khan Rokri, on Monday, the PCB had failed to meet even a single demand. When asked if the PCB had accepted a demand for allowing Karachi and Lahore to field two teams in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy, Rokri said that such a demand had not been made.

He explained that instead of improving relations with the city associations, the PCB had issued a circular restraining the association officials neither to give press statements nor hold press conferences against the board.
