RAWALPINDI, June 21: The accountability court No 2 will indict former managing-director Pakistan Printing Press, Pir Mukarramul Haq, on June 29 in a reference relating to misappropriation in the printing of directories for the Pakistan Telecommunication Company (PTCL).

The public prosecutor on Monday submitted copies of the charges against Mr Haq to judge Sakhi Mohammad Kahoot after which the court adjourned the case and observed that charges would be framed against the accused during the next hearing.

Mr Haq is charged with committing more than Rs3.5 million embezzlement during the printing of PTCL consumer directories. Meanwhile, accountability court No 3 judge Mohammad Aslam issued release orders of two Pakistan Railways officials - Sheikh Khalid and Mohammad Abid - after they were granted bail by the Lahore High Court's Rawalpindi bench, subject to the submission of Rs2 million surety bond each.
