KARACHI, May 21: The Karachi City Cricket Association (KCCA) has decided to launch its annual Talent Hunt Scheme during summer vacations of schools and colleges from June 1.

According to a KCCA press release issued Tuesday, the association will organise Inter Zonal under-19, Under-17 and under-15 tournament during June-August.

The co-ordination committee of the seven Zonal Secretaries which met here the other day decided to hold Inter Zonal under-19 Cricket Tournament first from June 9 followed by Inter Zonal under-17 and Under-15 competitions.

16 representative teams selected through open trials from grass root level in each age group by each zone will take part in these tournaments.

The following 16 Zonal teams play each other on group league basis in the KCCA Inter Zonal U-19 Cricket Tournament.

Team will be divided in four groups.

Group A: Zone II White, VI Blue, IV Blue, VII Green

Group B: Zone VII Whites,III Whites, I-Blues and V Blues

Group C: Zone VI Whites, IV Whites, II Blues and III- Blues

Group D: Zone- I Whites, V- White,VII-Blues and VI Greens

Players born on or after Sep 1 1983, who are also registered with any club, will be eligible to play for their respective Zonal teams.

The Zones must submit the names of 25 players per team to chairman Mehdi Hassan or organising secretary of U-19 tournament Tausif Siddiqui at KCCA office by June 5.—APP
