LONDON, June 17: England skipper Michael Vaughan warmed-up for the forthcoming one-day series against West Indies and New Zealand with a stunning century on Wednesday.

Vaughan hit an unbeaten 116 to lead Yorkshire to a three-wicket win over Lancashire at Old Trafford in the quarterfinals of the C and G Trophy one-day tournament. Vaughan, playing only his second county match this season, shared a fifth-wicket stand of 149 runs in 24 overs with Australian star Darren Lehmann, who made 62, as they successfully chased 285-6.

Earlier, former England all-rounder Dominic Cork hit an unbeaten 54 off 20 balls as he and ex-West Indies skipper Carl Hooper, with 66, put the pressure on Yorkshire. Another Australian to make the headlines was Brad Hogg.

The left-hander struck an unbeaten 94 as Warwickshire piled up a massive 343 for four before winning their quarterfinal tie against Northamptonshire by 73 runs at Edgbaston.

Craig Spearman, fresh from his record-breaking triple century last week, continued his superb form with a knock of 62 as Gloucestershire clinched a 16-run victory against Middlesex at Bristol.
