ISLAMABAD, June 17: Former Test fast bowler Sarfraz Nawaz on Thursday opposed the appointment of Bob Woolmer as coach and asked PCB bosses to appoint a former national Test cricketer for this important slot.

The former bowling coach of national side said that statistics proves that our players always faced difficulties during working with foreign coaches due to language problem.

"We have seen our players while speaking on television, they cannot speak English, he said and added, "I do not know how the new respected coach teach modern techniques to our players and how our players will tell him (Woolmer) about their problems".

"It's difficult to understand that when you have brilliant former Test cricketers in your own country who are willing to coach the national team then what is forcing them (PCB) to hire coaches from abroad", he said. -PPI
