PCB undecided over camp venue

LAHORE, June 13: The Pakistan Cricket Board is undecided whether to hold the national training camp in Karachi or Lahore for the forthcoming Asia Cup's preparations. The competition is scheduled to be played in Sri Lanka next month.

The cricket board has picked Karachi for the camp, as weather conditions there are similar to Sri Lanka. But the deteriorating law and order situation there refrained PCB from taking a final decision.

Lahore could be the second option, but the hot weather here is not suitable for any hard training. Earlier, the PCB had decided to start the camp from June 20. The new date and the venue for the camp is likely to be announced soon.

Wasim Bari, the chief selector, is set to name the probables for the Asian Cup camp in the next couple of days. Meanwhile, the PCB has advertised the vacant post of physiotherapist and trainer along with the post of internal auditor, media manager, marketing manager security and anti- corruption.
