Police foiled attempts by protesters to block roads by burning tyres. The markets opened in the morning but later a group of protesters forced people to close their business.

The strike had been called by a group of traders to protest against Pishin Scouts firing at a bus allegedly carrying contraband goods on Tuesday. At least three people, including two scouts were injured in the exchange of fire.

A procession was taken out, the participants of which marched on various city roads and chanted slogans against Pishin Scouts. They dispersed after negotiations with the Qila Abdullah District Nazim Salahuddin Achakzai.
