KASUR, June 8: Eight armed men plundered 27 tolas of gold and Rs100,000 in cash from a house at Sarai Mughal. Police said eight armed men stormed into Nasir's house and held up the inmates. They tortured the women and looted 27 tolas of gold ornaments and Rs100,000 in cash, besides other valuables.

Sarai Mughal police have registered a case. Meanwhile, thieves took away a motorcycle and Rs150,000 in cash from a house at Rahmanpura village. Police said thieves entered Fazaldin's house and took away his motorcycle and cash. Changa Manga police have instituted a case.

THREE KILLED: Three people, including two women were killed while several others sustained injuries here on Tuesday in two road accidents. Reports said a bus (LR-1921) was going from Lahore to Pattoki.

Near Harchokey, the Chunian by-pass, its tie-rod broke down as a result the vehicle overturned and rammed into a tree. Mohammad Rasheed, the conductor, died on the spot.

In the second incident, a speeding wagon (LR-3615) collided with another van near the Mustafabad Bridge, killing Kalsoom Bibi and Sardaran Bibi on the spot. The police have registered a case against both the absconding wagon drivers.

ROOF COLLAPSES: A labourer and his daughter were killed as the roof of their mud house caved in here on Tuesday at Taragah. Reports said Mohammad Mansha along with his daughter Sakina (5) was asleep in his house.
