KARACHI, June 3: The spiritual head of Hur Jamaat and a PML leader, Pir Pagara, on Thursday re-assured his full support to Chief Minister Sardar Ali Mohammad Mahar when the latter called on him at the Kingri House here.

Mr Mahar was accompanied by provincial ministers Irfanullah Khan Marwat and Dr Irfan Gul Magsi. Pir Pagara said that every step taken by CM would have his full support.

According to official sources, political and law and order situation in Sindh and various other issues relating to the province came under a detailed review on the occasion.

The CM said that he had called on Pir Saheb Pagara to seek his blessings and thank him for his support to the government. Mr Mahar pointed out that his government was taking strict measures to maintain law and order throughout the province, particularly in Karachi.

In this regard, he referred to his recent action against police officials and administration, saying that he had taken notice of negligence and irresponsibility on their part.

He said that his government was keenly working along with its coalition partners for keeping the situation in Sindh under control. He expressed his determination that activities of terrorists would be checked effectively and anti-social elements would be brought to book.

He said that he would be announcing various projects in the next year's budget for the welfare and prosperity of people of Sindh so that relief was provided to poor masses. Later, the chief minister left for Islamabad in the evening. -PPI
