KASUR, May 31: A Rs300 million project for supply of natural gas is near completion and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Zafarullah Jamali soon.

This was stated by district Nazim Rana Imtiaz Khan while talking to a delegation of tehsil and union councils members which met him here on Monday to inform him of their problems.

Mr Khan said the SNGPL had laid 12-inch diameter pipes instead of six-inch as it was not available in the country. The large sized pipeline would help in provision of gas to more than a hundred villages in the district.

The Nazim said construction of roads would start after laying of pipeline for provision of gas and other projects so that they would not be dug up again.

He claimed that the district government system was being run smoothly and efficiently as grants for different development projects had been released in time which lessened the problems of common man.
