On Sunday, he was inaugurating a cable network office in the Sabzi Mandi locality when the police arrested him and shifted him to the Model Town police station. In the meantime, the PPP office-bearers reached the police station and protested against the arrest.

However, the police did not allow anybody to enter the building. According to the FIR, a woman was abducted from the city whom the police recovered from tribal area.
