HYDERABAD, May 21: Jamaat-i-Islami Sindh Amir Dr Mumtaz Memon has said that the government has miserably failed to provide clean drinking water to the people of Sindh. He was addressing party workers at Paretabad here on Thursday night.
He said that the MQM could not win the hearts of the people through harassment, intimidation and false propaganda. He held the Sindh government ministers squarely responsible for the situation arising out of the supply of contaminated water to the people of Hyderabad.
He alleged that the MQM was the "B" team of President Gen Pervez Musharraf which was working on the American agenda and added that its main target was Jamaat-i-Islami. He condemned changes made in the syllabus.
The Jamaat leader charged that the federal education minister Zubaida Jalal was trying to implement American agenda through an NGO. He deplored the silence of Muslim rulers over inhuman atrocities unleashed by America, India, the UK and Israel against the hapless Muslims.
