KARACHI, May 19: The MQM coordination committee has condemned the armed attack on its sympathizers Mohammad Ashraf Baloch and Ghulam Mustafa Baloch in Kumailpur Mohalla, Baldia Town.

Accusing the 'thunder squad' of Jamaat-i-Islami of being behind the attack, the committee in a statement on Wednesday demanded arrest of the culprits and an immediate ban on the party.

The committee alleged that after suffering defeat in the recent by-elections, the JI had resorted to vengeance by punish innocent people. It urged the president and the prime minister to take serious notice of the JI activities.
