LAHORE, May 18: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Shaharyar M. Khan on Tuesday accepted various demands of city cricket associations and believed they were fair. The PCB boss made these remarks to the newsmen on Tuesday.

The associations had recently stepped up their campaign for restoration of the General Body, end of five years long ad hocism, their share in the gate money from home series against India and complete control over selection process of their teams.

In an other u-turn the PCB chief said that the board would not advertise the chief executive's post. Shaharyar disclosed that Shoaib Akhtar was compelled by his county Durham to play matches and he was again feeling pain in his rib.

He said that manager Haroon Rasheed had sent a report to the board in which he pointed out that the performance of the team in the rebuilding process was good in Test but not in One-day matches.

The report also stated that the graph of Pakistan performance was high after the debacle in the World Cup-2003. Meanwhile, the action committee chairman of the city cricket association Aamir Hayat Rokri said that his committee would meet the PCB chairman in Islamabad on May 24.
