KARACHI, May 13: Sindh Bar Council members have condemned the deportation of PML (N) President Shahbaz Sharif as a violation of a Supreme Court judgment in this regard.

In a press statement issued on Wednesday, advocates Mustafa Lakhani, M Yasin Azad, M Sadiq Hidayatullah and Muhammad Aqil said the deportation had exposed the government's claim that the country had been put back on the democratic rails and that the superior court judgements would be honoured.

The lawyers urged all political parties to launch protest against the 'illegal and unwarranted action.'

Another resolution passed by the council expressed its shock at the bomb blast in Hyderi mosque, describing the explosion as an attempt to divert the public attention from the US war crimes in Iraq.
