KUALA LUMPUR, May 13: Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, who is here to attend the Special Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement, on Thursday spent a busy day.

Besides addressing the Special Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement's Committee on Palestine, he met the Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and Malaysian Foreign Minister Hamid Albar, and attended a luncheon hosted by Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in honour of NAM delegations.

Deputy Prime Minister Tun Razak said that Malaysia was keen to consolidate and further expand relations with Pakistan in economic, commercial, defence and scientific spheres. Expressing satisfaction at the growing trade between the two countries, the two ministers discussed ways to redress imbalance in the bilateral trade. - APP
