SANGHAR, May 13: Liaquat Mari was elected on NA-236 Sanghar- III by securing 64,947 votes, unofficial results said. Liaquat Ali Mari belongs to Pakistan Muslim League-F.

Mohammad Ayub Shaikh of the MQM secured 20,996 votes, Mohammad Hanif Khoso (independent) 1,770, Mushtaq Adil (MMA) 149, while 1,214 votes were declared invalid. Total registered votes are 291,012 and the turnout was 30 per cent.

In Khairpur, according to unofficial results received here, PML-F's candidate Dr Raifque Bhambhan has been elected on PS-31 Faiz Ganuj-31 Khairpur-III by securing 45,127 votes in by- election held on Wednesday. PPP candidate Shoukat Rajpar secured 15,413 votes while MQM's candidate Ashfaq Ahmed Mangi secured 1,204 votes.
