OKARA, May 4: The office-bearers of the PML-N's local chapter and youth wing have accused the district administration of pressuring the transporters not to provide the wagons for the reception of party president Mian Shahbaz Sharif.

They told newsmen on Tuesday that the traffic police officials had met the wagon stand owners, asking them not to spare wagons for Lahore. Meanwhile, the banners hoisted by the PML-N workers were dislodged by the local administration.

CASE REGISTERED: Deepalpur police on Tuesday registered a case against two persons of Adda Salowal for setting to fire five acres of wheat fields. Agriculturist Nasrullah reported to police that Shafaat and Shaukat had burnt his fields in revenge.

ANJUMAN-I-MAZAREEN: The Anjuman-i-Mazareen Punjab have named its office-bearers. Younis Iqbal Masih is the chairman, Khushi Muhammad Dola president and Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf senior vice-president.
