NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, May 4: People's Party Parliamentarians MNA Syed Zafar Ali Shah has accused the district Nazim of carrying out development works only in Moro and Naushahro Feroze talukas.

Speaking at a press conference in Kandiaro the other day, the MNA said that no scheme, except one road, was given to the Kandiaro taluka. He alleged that the district's administration was hijacked by the Nazim and officials had been posted at his will.

The former Sindh minister, Aftab Ali Shah, was also present on the occasion. Syed Zafar Ali Shah alleged that bogus CNICs were being prepared in the bungalow of Jatoi-Syed Ittehad candidate at the behest of district Nazim.

He said that the police worked on the directives of the district Nazim and harassed the opposition activists. He criticized the District Public Safety Commission and alleged that its chairman was nominated on the recommendation of the district Nazim.

Syed Aftab Ali Shah told reporters that Nadra's mobile vehicle for collecting data of people of far-flung villages and towns had been parked in Otaq of MPA candidate Syed Sarfaraz Ali Shah. He alleged that no one, other than supporter of the Shah- Jatoi Ittehad, was allowed to register his data for computerized cards.

DETAINEES FREED: Two detainees were released by the raid commissioner of session court Naushahro Feroze. Shakeel Kalhoro and his brother were detained illegally at the Dali post of the Bhirya police station.

The superintendent of the sessions court Naushahro Feroze, Khalilur Rehman, was appointed as the raid commissioner by the district and sessions judge on an application submitted by Moomal, complaining that her sons were arrested by the Dali police.

The raid commissioner found that the two brothers were not required in any case. The official released the two, directing them and an ASI to appear before the district and sessions judge on May 5.

PROTEST: Some 20 people gathered at the Kandiaro bypass and demanded that culprits of the incident in which a man was injured should be arrested. The protesters burnt tyres and blocked the road for about one and half hour.

They complained that some armed men looted their relatives while they were on their way to Kandiaro town. They said that despite their demand for establishing a police post on the Kandiaro-Lakha link road, police had not taken any action. The TPO Kandiaro reached the spot and assured that the culprits would be arrested soon.

PROCESSION: Residents of Gharibabad took out a procession in Moro townand demanded that sewerage system should be provided to their colony.The protesters led by Farid Kalhoro, Khalid Bughio, Makhdoom Rasheed and Sharif Bughio complained that despite several complaints, no sewerage facility was provided to their area.
