LAHORE, April 30: Pakistan's paceman Shoaib Akhtar, declared on Friday that he would decide his future course of action only after the findings of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) constituted medical commission's report was made public.
"I will announce my next course of action at a press conference after the medical commission's report is made public" said Shoaib who was confident that the report would clear that he was unfit.
The bone-scanning test taken at Shaukat Khanum Hospital last Wednesday but leaked to the press suggests that Shoaib did suffer an injury to his 11th left rib. But a top PCB official claimed that it was only a bone-scan report and not the PCB appointed medical commission's finding. "We do not see it fit to say anything before the commission's report is received by the PCB", he added.
The commission's report will be delivered to the PCB on Tuesday (May 4) and the same made public the next day. The PCB's appointed medical commission sent Shoaib to the Shaukat Khanum hospital for bone-scan last Wednesday. Meanwhile, Pakistan cricket team captain Inzamamul Haq and Yousuf Youhana met PCB chairman, Shaharyar M. Khan here on Friday.
