KARACHI, May 19: The Pakistan Women Lawyers Association (PAWLA) has underscored need to sustain the reforms introduced by the present government.
Rashida Patel, PAWLA president, talking to APP said more concerted efforts were required to make pragmatic and lasting the wide range of reforms introduced by the present government.
She praised the stance adopted by the President Pervez Musharraf for inception of democracy in the country and recommended allocation of 33 percent special reserved seats for women in the federal and provincial assemblies and the senate.—APP
