17 killed in Valley

SRINAGAR, May 18: Indian troops on Saturday claimed killing 12 Kashmiri Mujahideen. Five other people were also killed in the held state on Saturday and Friday night.

Two soldiers of the Indian army and two members of India’s Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) were shot dead by the freedom fighters at point blank range on Saturday, an Indian spokesman said. He claimed the Indian forces had shot dead six Mujahideen in the districts of Rajouri and Poonch on Saturday.—AFP
