ISLAMABAD, March 25: The Parliamentary Committee on Water Resources, which met here on Thursday, decided to visit provinces once again to physically inspect the sites. The committee meeting was presided over by Senator Nisar Ahmad Memon.

The committee, during the visit, will meet political leadership and other stakeholders and NGOs and small political parties not represented in parliament and provincial assemblies.

The committee also decided to support the project for water conservation/management and small dams submitted by the provinces and send the input to the government for incorporation in the budget 2004-05.

The committee is targeting to submit its interim report by the end of June, 2004. The meeting was attended by Senator Mohammad Naseer Mengal, Senator Aneesa Zeb Tahir Kheli, MNAs Sher Akbar Khan, Alsyed Abdul Qadir Jamaluddin Al-Gillani and Haji Mohammad Ali Malkani. -APP
