KARACHI, March 25: An Asian Development Bank team, under the leadership of Mashooq Ali Shah, held a meeting with Sindh minister for development Syed Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari here on Wednesday to review development projects being executed with the collaboration of ADB.

The delegation stressed that the pace of work be expedited on projects of SRDP, SRSDP, DEEP and DSSP, and also sought audit reports of these projects. On this, the provincial minister asked the departments concerned to submit audit reports by May 31.

There are 13 active Asian Development Bank loans of 728 million dollars in Sindh. The provincial minister showed anger over non-establishment of a project co-ordination unit in connection with the reproductive health project.

He asked the health department to establish PCU on an emergency basis and complete the PC-I. Shoaib Bukhari expressed reservations over construction of a library in Nawabshah for teachers by the provincial institute for teachers' education. -PPI
