KARACHI, March 25: The Chief Controller of Buildings, Brig (retd) A.S. Nasir, has assigned the additional charge of Industrial Zone to Rauf Akhtar Farooqui in order to further improve the KBCA's performance.

In a notification issued here on Thursday, Town Building Officer (Officiating) Mazhar Iqbal has been given additional charge of North Nazimabad Town and Farhatullah Qureshi TBCO Lyari has been given the charge of Baldia Town from where Munawar Ali Abbasi has been transferred to Lyari Town.

Nisar Ahmed, Deputy Controller Buildings, Saddar Town-II has been appointed DCB Industrial Cell while Aqeel Ahmed Abidi assigned additional responsibility of Recovery Section of new projects.

Shahzad Mansoor, DCB Bin Qasim Town, has been transferred as DCB Saddar Town and Intezar Ahmed, Assistant Controller of Buildings, has been appointed as officiating DCB Saddar Town-II.

Meanwhile, Town Building Officer Industrial Cell Agha Maqsood Abbas has been directed to report to Katchi Abadi Authority as per order of Additional Chief Secretary Local Government.

Building Inspector Masood Abbasi, who was issued show-cause notice for termination of his service, has been given one week time for defence before the Inquiry Officer.

In an anti-encroachment operation, KBCA team demolished illegal RCC columns and partition walls of second floor of building on Plot No. R-923, Block-2, F.B. Area. Slabs were removed from a building on Plot No. R-935, Block-2 of the F.B. Area. -PPI/APP
