Water team visits Salal project

NEW DELHI, March 24: A four-member team of the Indus Water Commission of Pakistan visited Salal hydro-power project in held Kashmir on Wednesday and reviewed the water level of Chenab river at Salal.

The delegation led by the Indus Water Commissioner of Pakistan, Syed Jamait Ali Shah, along with a three-member Indian team, headed by External Affairs Ministry Deputy Commissioner Vijay Kumar, reached the held Kashmir from New Delhi on Wednesday morning, official sources said.

Both the teams left for Salal and reviewed the water level of Chenab. During the stay, the team would also visit the under- construction Baglihar Hydro-Power project in Batote area of Doda district on Thursday. -APP
