KARACHI, March 24: Sindh governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad on Wednesday directed the authorities concerned to expedite work on housing schemes throughout the province.

He issued these directives at a high-level meeting at the Governor's House to review the progress on housing schemes. On this occasion, the officials briefed the governor on Malir housing scheme.

The governor directed that all record of the housing schemes be computerized, besides ensuring provision of water, sewerage, health, education, roads and other facilities at this scheme. The scheme remained in abeyance for seven years since its launching. The scheme, spread over 4000 acres, will benefit 32,000 people. -PPI
