The Nazim, who is also the chairman of the KWSB, had already sent a summary to the Sindh chief secretary, recommending names of KWSB's DMD (Planning), Shahid Salim; provincial secretary environment department Shujaat Ali Qarni and CDGK's former executive district officer (revenue) Javed Hanif for the post of KWSB's managing director, which fell vacant after the transfer of Brig Asif Ghazali to the Pakistan National Guards.

Two other senior officials of the KWSB - director (accounts) Pir Zaman Shah and director (billing and recovery) Arshad Jamal - on Friday assumed the charge of the board's deputy managing director (finance) and DMD (human resource development and administration), respectively. They have been asked to perform the additional duties till further orders without prejudice to right of regular promotion and seniority.
